Is it OK to Wear Contact Lenses During COVID-19?

Yes, it’s still safe to wear contact lenses but please pay attention to these tips:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap before inserting or removing your contact lenses.
  2. Follow your prescribed contact lens wearing schedule and don’t wear contacts longer than recommended.
  3. Use a clean contact lens case to store your contact lenses.
  4. Make sure you try to avoid touching your face or eyes. Keep your hands clean.

Of course, use new contact lens solution to clean your lenses and to put in your case. You can wash your lens case in the dishwasher and it’s a good idea to have a few lens cases so that you always have a clean case.

Make sure you keep washing your hands – that’s the most important thing with contact lenses.
